Fitness Centre Notices

1.  Effective, Tuesday October 21st, Curtiss Matson will be replacing Annie Hird, while she is on maternity leave, as the new Fitness Centre Manager.  See under the Fitness Centre tab for his bio! 

2.  Effective, Friday August 22nd, the Livingston Place Fitness Centre will now require access cards to be scanned to gain entry in the locker rooms.  This is to ensure security of personal belongings in the locker rooms.  If you have any questions, feel free to direct them to the Fitness Centre Manager, Annie Hird.

3.  Please note that the Livingston Place Fitness Centre has changed hours from 5:30am to 5:00am Monday through to Friday. 

The Livingston Place Fitness Centre card reader runs accordingly to the world clock and be aware of a wait if your watch is fast.  The card reader timing is reset every month to match the world clock.

Environmental Notice to all Tenants 

Let’s work together on keeping our environment ecologically sound and safe for the future. How do we do this? Simple, by taking part in little tasks that will help to reduce the amount of energy and waste we produce. There are small everyday things that we can all do to help in saving the earth.

TIPS
·         Turn your lights off
·         Turn your car engine off and don’t let it idle
·         Buy a composter and use it to it full potential
·         Bike to work
·         Carpool to work
·         Use city transit whenever possible
·         Turn off the computer and TV when it’s not in use
·         Turn the temperature down and wear a sweater
·         Replace incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs (CFL’s)
·         Recycle, Reduce, Reuse!

Notice to Tenants

As part of the 7 Avenue LRT Refurbishment Project, the 6 Street S.W. Station will be closed following the last train in the early hours of Monday April 7, 2008

The station will be prepared for demolition scheduled to begin mid-April.
Construction of the new station is anticipated to begin mid-May and will be complete by spring 2009.

There will be no disruption of downtown LRT services due to this work; however, trains will not stop at the current 6 Street S.W. station until construction of the new platform is complete.

Transit users are asked to plan their trips accordingly using either the 8 Street S.W. or 3 Street S.W. stations as alternatives.
